# Build an Audience to Target

**Audience Builder** is a dedicated, focused space designed specifically for **constructing and saving audiences for targeting**. Audience Builder allows you to create an audience once, and use it across multiple channels, ad sets, and campaign types. You can build audiences off of the general internet population, pixels placed on your website, or offline data you’ve uploaded to Quantcast. These audiences can be updated and customized with a variety of filters, such as demographics, location, and interests. Build once, use it again and again!

## **Creating an Audience**

1. Log in to the Quantcast Platform, and navigate to **Audience Builder**.
  1. To view a previously created audience, navigate to the **Catalog**, then **Saved Audience** tab.

2. On the left, use the Source and Persona filters to adjust your audience. Making no selections here will indicate that you want to save an audience based on the average internet user.
  - Source: Site events, Customer Audiences, Campaign Audiences: Selections here will **increase** your Addressable Audience
  - Persona: Location, Interests, Demographics: Selections here will **decrease** your addressable Audience

1. Once you’ve filtered down to the audience you want to target, click the **Publish Audience** button in the upper right-hand corner. You will then see a module where you can confirm the Audience Name and Description. If you are ready to immediately target this audience, you can select from either of the ‘Create a new ad set’ options. Otherwise, toggling this option off will save the Audience into your **Audience Catalog**. The sources you’ve selected will automatically appear as a part of the Lookalike Targeting in your ad set, and the other targeting will appear as expected.
