Managing Deals in Organization Manager

The Deal Management area of the Organization Manager allows you to manage your organization’s programmatic Deal inventory pool, activating valuable, unique inventory for your organization and your advertisers.

To access the Deals area, use the top navigation menu and select Accounts in the Organization Manager column, then click on Inventory and My Deals and Packages.

The core features in deal management allow you to enter Deals you have negotiated and activated with your supply partners, to store metadata around each deal so that you can get valuable context during campaign inventory planning and reporting, and finally, to control access on which advertiser account(s) campaign activity should be able to access specific Deals.

Once your organization’s inventory pool is activated on the platform, you can target your deal inventory pool from within your ad set.  This restricts inventory access to the selected deals and prevents ads from being served on the open market. This translates into greater control over the type of inventory your campaign accesses.

  1. Select the Deal Type.

  2. Enter the Deal Name.

  3. Optionally, enter a Deal Description.

  4. Select the Account Access. You can choose all accounts or only specific accounts.

  5. Choose whether or not to add this deal to your default supply.

  6. Save your deal.

Note: It is important to add the correct Deal ID and Exchange/SSP provided by the supplier. Not doing so will result in not being able to see any inventory or the wrong inventory for that Deal.

On Save, the platform will run several validation checks to ensure that the entered Deal details are correct and the deal has valid inventory. These checks include:

  • Inactive Deal: The system checks the specified Deal ID to ensure it is active and that supply traffic can be seen by the system. A warning is shown if the Deal seems to be invalid. You can still save the Deal, but you are advised to work with your Supply Partner to ensure it remains active.

  • Invalid SSP: The system will check the specified Deal ID and Deal SSP to ensure that the combination is valid. If the Deal ID appears to be active but the specified SSP is incorrect, the system will display an error. You cannot save the Deal until the correct SSP is specified.

  • Invalid Buyer Seat: The system will check the specified Deal ID and Buyer Seat ID combination to ensure they are valid. The system shows an error if the Deal ID appears to be active, but the specified Buyer Seat ID is incorrect.

  • No Valid Traffic: The system checks the Deal's supply traffic as seen by the system to ensure it passes our global quality checks (e.g., fraud protection, consumer privacy protection, and no ID used for advertising purposes), and warns you if no valid supply is available.

  • Low Valid Traffic: The system checks whether the Deal's supply traffic, as seen by the system, passes our global quality checks (e.g., fraud protection, consumer privacy protection, and no ID used for advertising) and warns you when very little valid supply is available for your campaign activity.

  • Invalid Fixed Price: The system checks the Deal Price you entered to ensure it matches the price displayed in the supply traffic received by the system. The system warns you when the two don't match and advises you to reach out to your supplier to confirm the correct Deal price.

  1. Inform your Campaign Manager(s) that it is available to target from within ad sets.
