Onboarding CDP Segments with Tealium
Quantcast has partnered with Tealium to ingest CDP segments that can be used to target your ad sets.
Ingesting CDP Segments with Tealium
Notify your Quantcast AE that you want to integrate your CDP audiences into your campaign targeting. This will trigger the internal process with our engineering teams.
Next, log in to your Tealium instance and navigate to the Visitor / Visit Attributes tab within Audience Stream to add a new attribute.
Click + Add Attribute and add a new attribute scoped to the visitor.
Next, choose the String data type.
Provide an appropriate name for your attribute. This attribute will contain a Tealium Visitor ID, which will be used in the tag and the audience configuration.
Then, add an enrichment to the attribute, setting the string to the tealium_visitor_id found under event attributes. This will generate a new UUID for each visitor added to your audience. Set your “when” conditions appropriately, e.g., for each new visitor.
Click Finish when done. This new attribute will now be created for each new visitor to the sites under the purview of this Tealium account.
Next, navigate to the Audience Connectors tab within Audience Stream and click “+ Add Connector” to add a new connector.
Search for the “Quantcast Audiences” connector and click on it. Open and follow the instructions linked under “Resources”, and also linked here.
The username and password correspond with your Quantcast Platform account.
Use the visitor attribute (map) you created earlier to feed into the Partner User ID (to) parameter. Use the same visitor attribute (map) on the segment part.
Please allow up to 24 hours for the data to reach Quantcast Audience Planner.
Once you have finished setting up the Quantcast Audiences Connector, navigate to the “Tags” tab within iQ Tag Management and click “+ Add Tag” to add a new tag.
Note: this is the Quantcast cookie sync tag.
Search for the Quantcast Cookie Matching Service tag and click + Add.
Next, follow these instructions to set up the Quantcast Cookie Matching Service tag within your Tealium iQ Tag Management account. Please note that there is no need to set up a data mapping for the visitor ID, as this is included by default within the tag.
Allow up to a week for the match table to collect entries. To minimize this time, ensure the tag’s load rules are set up to get as much coverage as possible, e.g., load on landing pages.
Once you’ve set up the Quantcast Cookie Matching Service tag, notify your rep so they can relay this information to engineering. Our engineering team will verify whether the cookie sync process is successful.
Once all the connections have been secured, we will let you know the name of the audience corresponding to the CDP audience you would like to target.
