Charitable / Nonprofit Organization Campaigns in the US

Advertising is supported for Nonprofit / Charitable Organization campaigns in the US, including:

  • Advocacy campaigns (to create support for specific policies, like legal reform)

  • Awareness campaigns (focus on education about causes to raise support)

  • Fundraising campaigns (fundraising over an extended period of time to highlight a specific goal)

Carefully review this guide as there are important prohibitions and restrictions with which Advertisers must comply to satisfy Quantcast policies, laws, and self-regulatory codes.

During onboarding, the Client must provide a copy of the Advertiser’s 501(c)(3) tax-free charitable organization registration status.

  • Permitted targeting types: all targeting types, subject to the Restricted Data Types section of Quantcast’s Campaign Policy: in connection with the use of any Quantcast product or service, where prohibited by applicable law, Clients may not collect, use, or provide to Quantcast personal data revealing a restricted attribute or characteristic explicitly, by inference, or otherwise, including in creatives and/or strategies like targeting and/or tagging.

  • Permitted tagging types: all tagging types, subject to the Restricted Data Types section of Quantcast’s Campaign Policy: in connection with the use of any Quantcast product or service, where prohibited by applicable law, Clients may not collect, use, or provide to Quantcast personal data revealing a restricted attribute or characteristic explicitly, by inference, or otherwise, including in creatives and/or strategies like targeting and/or tagging.

  • NAI Prohibitions: Campaigns must not result in violations of the NAI Code of Conduct.

Important Prohibitions

Advertising for organizations promoting the following is not permitted:

  • Unapproved political campaigns

  • Personal weapons

  • Tobacco, nicotine, or vaping

  • Cannabis and/or paraphernalia
