Deal Checklist

Below is a checklist to reference when troubleshooting deals

Set up

  • Is the correct Deal ID input with the correct exchange selected?

  • Was the correct Seat ID provided to the exchange? See here

Google AdX

  • Has the deal been approved in Google AdX?

Deal Launch

  • It is recommended that the deal be live for more than one day before being used to ensure that bid opportunities flow through.

Ad Set Configuration

  • Gain insights into how your deal criteria might limit your inventory with the Delivery Forecast tool.

The tool provides a feasibility gauge. It shows:

  • Green - Very likely to deliver in full

  • Orange - Unlikely to deliver in full

  • Red - Very unlikely to deliver in full

  • Be mindful of setting an eCPM cap below the floor of the deal

  • The eCPM cap must be higher than the floor price plus any additional fees such as third party data and prebid segments.

  • eCPM caps above floor price may still affect performance as they can restrict optimal bidding.

Deal Insights

  • The Deal Insights tool gives granular insights into the health of your deals.

    • To access Deal Insights, navigate to:

      • Organization Manager > Inventory > My Deals and Packages > Search for the deal in the Search Bar > Click on “Insights” under the deal name.

      • The Deal Insights tool is useful to verify if a deal is sending bid requests and how many bid requests are being filtered out.

      • You can also view why the bids are being filtered out.

      • You can also check for bid request volume by country and other dimensions to help diagnose potential issues.

  • Insights are also available when creating or editing and adset

    • To find these insights on the adset page navigate to:

      • Inventory > Custom > Deals > Select Deals and Packages > Click Insights on the desired deal or package.

    • Insights are available for your own deals or Quantcast curated deals and packages.

Supply Funnel Report

  • The Supply Funnel Report gives step by step drop offs in available supply based on configuration of an adset.

    • To access the Supply Funnel Report from the campaign screen:

      • Click on the desired adset > click Insights Lab on the right rail > Click Viewing to expand the dropdown > Select Supply Funnel Breakdown

      • This report will show various reasons available supply may be excluded for the specific adset

      • Common issues:

        • Creative not allowed
