When you create a campaign with branding objectives, you can choose to target specific demographic parameters such as gender, age, income, and education level (availability dependent on the region the campaign is targeting. For example, in the UK, ethnicity is not a recorded demographic).
Set up a Demographic Target
When you create a new line item on your campaign, specify the following:
- Geo targeting
- Primary brand KPI:
- Viewability
- CTR
- Audience Validation
- Any other KPIs?
- Primary Goal Value, or the target value for achieving your chosen KPI. Note: if the Primary KPI is ‘Audience Validation’, you can leave this blank, since this KPI is designed to maximize target audience composition.
- Demographic Segment. Note: demographic segments available for selection will appear in the Target Audience dropdown as long as a brand KPI has been selected. Demographic segments are not available for use with a direct response KPI such as CPA or ROAS.
Once you have built and saved your demographic targeted line item, continue to configure a flight with the desired budget and run dates.
