Privacy Portal Introduction
This Informative article will explore all of the features and capabilities that come with your Quantcast Choice CMP.
To start, log into your Quantcast account and click on the Privacy link in the top navigation.
The Choice Privacy Portal has three tabs:
From this tab you can easily see the status of your site, the regulation(s) covered, the theme and CMP versions in use, and quickly access site reports, edit your site configuration or download your audit logs. Before you set up your first site, you will see the default Properties screen.
For detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to configure your sites, see the Site Configuration documentation.
Once you have added sites to your portal, you will see them listed here with information about the property that includes a status indicator, the URL of the property, which regulation is in effect, theme in use, the consent rate, the CMP version, the analytics report and more. The status indicator turns 'Green' when the analytics reports are available for the site. It can take up to 24hrs for the site analytics to appear in the 'Reports' page.
NOTE: When implementing Quantcast Choice, you need to configure your sites in the Privacy Portal even if you have already added them to Quantcast Measure. Measure profiles are limited to your Top 5 largest properties, while Quantcast Choice is unlimited.
Themes control the look and feel of the Quantcast Choice CMP and can be applied to one or more sites. The default theme cannot be edited, but you can create custom themes to assign to your sites. The default theme is configured to include design options based on two years worth of user testing with a goal of providing the best usability and consent rates.
For detailed step-by-step instructions on creating your own theme, see the Theme Configuration documentation.
The Vendors tab allows you to select the vendors you work with and want to present to your users for their consent preferences. Vendor management only applies to sites with the Consent Scope set as “Your Site Only” or “A group of your sites only.”
The vendor options displayed in the first tab of this section come from the IAB global vendor list and includes all vendors registered with the TCF. When a vendor is registered with the TCF, that vendor has agreed to respect the consent preferences signal from the TCF and not set a cookie or deploy their technology unless the signal indicates they have the legal basis to do so.
The second tab in this section allows you to add vendors who are not registered with the IAB TCF and collect user consent preferences for them. Note, that because they are not registered with the TCF, they are under no obligation to comply with the consent preferences users set on your site. A custom implementation is required in order to block non-IAB Vendors’ tags from firing without user consent. See the Custom Tag Blocking Guide for more information on this.
For a detailed explanation of selecting IAB vendors and adding non-IAB vendors, see the Vendor Configuration documentation.
The third tab in this section - Google Vendors - allows you to configure which additional Google vendors that you work. Additional Google Vendors are vendors not registered with the IAB TCF but require to be listed when working with Google's Ad Manager.
