Connecting your App to Quantcast in Appsflyer

This article will walk you through the steps and recommendations for connecting your app to Quantcast. This will enable attribution measurement for Quantcast campaigns and provide visibility into campaign performance in AppsFlyer. Additionally, we will explain how to configure postbacks and apply attribution links to creatives.

  1. Enable Quantcast as an ad network

    • In the AppsFlyer dashboard, go to Collaborate >Partner Marketplace on the sidebar menu.

    • Search for and select Quantcast, and then click Save & Enable.

    • From the top-right corner of the Partner Marketplace page, click the three dots and choose Invite New Partner. Search for and select Quantcast. You’ll be redirected to the Quantcast partner details page.

    • Click Set Up Integration, and you’ll redirected to the Integration Set up page.

    • Turn on Activate Partner. Once activated, you can filter to the page showing active partners and access Quantcast from Collaborate > Active Integration on the sidebar menu. Do not toggle off Activate Partner, as disabling partner integration can cause irreversible damage to active campaigns

Mandatory pre-approval for agency accounts

Please provide your agency ID to your Quantcast team so Quantcast can authorize you to run campaigns on your network. The agency ID is the af_prt value used in attribution links

  1. Turn ON or OFF Advanced Privacy (for iOS 14.5+ and later)

Advanced Privacy impacts how postbacks are received based on a user's ATT consent status and varies by the delivery environment.

    • When Advanced Privacy is turned ON for app delivery, Quantcast will only receive postbacks when the user consents to both the app publisher and the advertiser app (dual consent).

    • When Advanced Privacy is turned ON for web delivery, it will only receive postbacks if af_media_type=web is included in the attribution tracking links. If you do not include af_media_type in the attribution tracking links, the default is app.

    • When Advanced Privacy is turned OFF, Quantcast receives all postbacks. Postbacks do not contain user IDs without attributed data when the user consents.

  2. Turn on Share SKAN transaction ID

    • This toggle is for iOS apps only. When the Share SKAN transaction ID is turned on, you share the transaction ID of SKAdNetwork postbacks with Quantcast. Quantcast can then decode your SKAdNetwork Conversion Values.

  1. Add the P-code and API key

    • In the General Settings section, add the P-code and API key. Ensure “p—" is a prefix when entering the P-code. You can ask your account team for your P-code and the API key. You can also locate your P-code in the Quantcast Platform by clicking on the main navigation menu and Accounts in the Organization Manager section. Locate your account and copy the P-code value. Make sure p— is included as a prefix.

    • Copy and paste the following API key into the apikey field: 41c3048472464e13b1ec45f49aeac10c

  2. Turn on Install view-through attribution

    • In the Detail postback section, select All media sources, including organic in from the for users froms the dropdown.

  1. Turn on in-app event postbacks

    • Select the timeframe and duration for the in-app event postback window. We recommend setting them to 6 months.

    • Select all events (Send all events (excludes uninstalls, sessions, and af_ad_revenue)

    • Select All media sources, including organic in from the for users from dropdown and select value & no revenue from the including dropdown

Create Attribution Links

This section will teach you about the AppsFlyer attribution link structure and parameters. Attribution links are added to creatives in the Quantast DSP. You will create attribution links for the impression and click events.

  1. Select the attribution link type.

    • You can create attribution links using OneLink or a single-platform link. Quantcast supports both options.

  2. Add parameters and values.

    • You can add parameters and values to determine the reporting breakdowns in Appsflyer. Two important parameters are Campaign Name and Site ID, which are mandatory. In the value field, you can manually enter a value or use a Quantcast creative macro to insert a dynamic value. Site ID is essential because it helps AppsFlyer identify and eliminate fraudulent publishers and other traffic clusters. If you're serving ads to a desktop or mobile web environment, use the ${DOMAIN} macro. If you serve ads to the app environment, use the  ${BUNDLE_ID} macro in the Site ID parameter. A full list of Quantcast creative macros can be found here

You can also refer to the Attribution link structure and parameters.

  1. Select the timeframe and duration for the click-through lookback window.

  • We recommend setting them to 7 days.

  1. Select the timeframe and duration for the view-through lookback window

    • We recommend setting them to 24 hours.

The click-attribution link box automatically generates a link with parameters and macros already modified for Quantcast. Copy and paste the links to share with Quantcast or add to the creative in the Quantcast DSP directly. If your creatives are 3P ad-serving tags, we recommend applying the click-attribution link in your ad server.

The impression-attribution link box automatically generates a link with parameters and macros already modified for Quantcast. Copy and paste the links to share with Quantcast or add to creatives in the Quantcast DSP directly. If your creatives are 3P ad-serving tags, we recommend NOT applying the impression-attribution link in your ad server.
