Connecting your app to Quantcast in Branch

This article will guide you through the steps and recommendations for connecting your app to Quantcast in the branch. This will enable attribution measurement for Quantcast campaigns and provide visibility into campaign performance in Branch.

  1. Enable Quantcast as an ad partner

    • In the Branch dashboard, go to the Partner Management section on the sidebar of the Ads page. Search for Quantcast, select it, and then click Save & Enable. You can also refer to the Universal Ads Partner Integration Guide to enable Quantcast as an ad partner.

  1. Provide Quantcast Credentials

    • In the Branch dashboard, on the ACCOUNT SETTINGS tab, enter the p-code in the account ID field.  Ensure “p—" is a prefix when entering the p-code.  



  • You can ask your account team for your P-code. You can also locate your P-code in the Quantcast Platform by clicking on the main navigation menu and ‘Accounts’ in the Organization Manager section. Locate your account and copy the P-code value. Make sure “p—" is included as a prefix. 



  1. Add postbacks

    • Select add new postback in the Branch dashboard on the POSTBACK CONFIG tab. You can customize these postbacks based on your campaign objectives and metric specifications. We suggest adding the following postback events: impression, click, install, and any app actions you wish to track.  

    • When creating a new postback, pre-built macros with keys and values are included in the postback. It is important not to remove or edit any of these macros, as they are used to parse information and support optimization when using the app promotion campaign goal. Although you can add custom macros to the postback, please note that Quantcast will not parse this data to support optimization when using the app promotion campaign goal.

  2. Send all configured postback events to Quantcast

    • After you have added postbacks select “Send all events” for all postbacks.

      We recommend sending all postback events to Quantcast. Please note this is required to use the app promotion campaign goal.

  3. Set a custom attribution window to match Quantcast

    • In the Branch dashboard, enable the “Use ad partner attribution settings” toggle on the ATTRIBUTION WINDOWS tab. This will override your app-level attribution windows. Once the toggle is enabled you can set custom windows by click and impression attribution types.

      We recommend setting the click attribution types to 7 days and the impression attribution types to 30 days.  

  1. Create ad links

    1. All Branch ad links are uniquely built for each ad partner. To create links, please refer to the Branch Create Ad Link documentation.

      We recommend applying links directly in Quantcast DSP instead of wrapping them in tags. It allows easy troubleshooting, and applying links in the ad server can cause discrepancies.
