Article summary

Select your Media Packages

In the Media Packages section, you will select the inventory where your ads will be served. You can choose Performance or Select Media Package or Custom curated deals and include or exclude SSPs and Exchanges. You can also set up your Brand Safety and any IP Suppression rules.

Custom Deals and Packages are those that your Organization has added in the Organization Manager's Inventory tab. Performance and Select media packages are universally available to all marketers.

When you choose Custom, expand the Deals section and click on the Select Deals and Packages button.

On the Deals and Packages page, use the checkboxes on the left to select your supply, and click the Target Deals and Packages on the right.

Supply Management shows which SSPs / Exchanges have been excluded. To include or exclude other SSPs / Exchanges, click on Include / Exclude Supply.

The excluded supplies are on the right-hand side of the modal. If they are grayed out, it means that your organization has blocked them on the organizational level, and you can not include them. Any others that are excluded can be re-included, and any that are on the included list can be excluded. Click OK when you are done.

Additional Settings in this section include Brand Safety and IP Suppression.

  • Brand Safety:

    • App & Domain Lists

      • Select an Allowlist or Blocklist of apps and domains. The Create and Edit Apps and Domains Lists guide explains how to create site lists. Your Organization or Account may also have default lists set up.

        • Quantcast includes a "Default Allowlist" pre-set on all ad sets. It can be removed or replaced by another blocklist/allowlist. Quantcast curates it based on sites we typically see have the best performance (~10,000 sites). In addition to our allowlist, Quantcast has a global blocklist set on all campaigns that prevent delivery on high-risk sites, limiting brand safety concerns.

    • Contextual Blocklists

      • Contextual blocklists allow an organization to block certain keywords that they find objectionable or negative when those keywords are part of the URL. The organization can set up blocklists for its entire organization or add them while creating an Ad Set.

    • Brand Safety, Fraud, and Contextual Targeting.

      • Add pre-bid protection by choosing from among Integral Ad Science (IAS) and DoubleVerify (DV) predefined brand safety, fraud, and contextual categories. Learn more about IAS pre-bid and DV pre-bid.

  • IP Suppression

    • Use IP Suppression to suppress specific Internet Protocol addresses (IPs) so that ads are not shown to those computers or networks associated with those addresses. Learn more about IP Suppression.

  • Viewability: Select the viewability for this Ad Set. For best performance, we recommend keeping it at 55%.

  • Devices: Select what devices to target with this Ad Set.
