Understanding the Pacing Spreadsheet Template
There are 3 key sections in the Pacing Spreadsheet template.
Ad Set Information Section | ||
Location | Label | Definition |
Row 1 | Ad Set Name | The name of the ad set |
Row 2 | Ad Set ID | The identification number of the ad set |
Vitals Section | ||
Location | Label | Definition |
Row 3 | $ total budget | The total budget of that ad set |
Row 3 | $ delivered | The total spend delivered to date for that ad set |
Row 3 | $ remaining | The total spend remaining for that ad set |
Row 4 | # days left | The number of days left in that ad set’s lifetime |
Row 4 | Pacing % | The pacing percentage to date for that ad set |
Row 4 | $ scheduled | The total spend scheduled to deliver |
Pacing Section | ||
Location | Label | Definition |
Row 5, Column A | DATE | The dates for your ad sets’ custom pacing schedule. All dates should be listed under the DATE label. |
Row 5 | ACTUAL | The daily spend to date for that ad set on the corresponding date in column A |
Row 5 | PLANNED | The planned daily spend for that ad set on the corresponding date in column A |
Row 5 | NEW TARGET | The target spend you can edit for that ad set on the corresponding date in column A |
NOTE: In the Vitals section, minor variances between the $ remaining and $ scheduled values can be expected based on the data freshness. It is best practice to not override the last day of your ad set to ensure full delivery of your lifetime budget.
How to Edit the Offline Excel File
Option 1: Pacing Spreadsheet Template
Open the downloaded Excel file and make sure editing is enabled.
Make changes to the NEW TARGET column for each Ad Set.
Things to note when editing the file:
Weekend dates are highlighted in blue
Today’s date is in bold (or the date the spreadsheet was downloaded)
Future dates are grayed out and will not have a spend value in the ACTUAL column
3. After you have finished updating, save the Excel file, return to the Quantcast Platform, and Upload.
Option 2: Flexible Pacing Spreadsheet
Build your own spreadsheet including only the Dates (in column A), Ad Set IDs (in row 1), and pacing changes needed. See the image below.
Include only new budget targets, only for the ad sets and days you mean to change
You must have ad set IDs across the top, dates down the left.
The dates do not have to be consecutive
A blank cell will clear the target for that ad set on that date
Save the Excel file. Return to the Quantcast Platform, click Bulk Actions, then select Upload Pacing Spreadsheet.
In the Upload Pacing Spreadsheet window, click Select File.
Locate the Campaign Excel file on your computer, then click Open.
Note: This step may vary depending on your computer.
5. Review your change(s) and click Commit Changes to apply your change(s).
