What are the differences between mobile browser audiences and mobile in-app audiences?

Mobile browsers are easier to access as they don’t require app downloads. Anyone with an internet connection can browse the web. Mobile in-app requires downloading apps, often attracting in-market audiences and offering personalized user experiences.

What are the differences between a mobile ad set and a web ad set?

A mobile ad set lets customers activate a comprehensive mobile strategy across browsers and in-app delivery. In contrast, a web ad set lets customers activate a web strategy across desktop and mobile devices (smartphones and tablets).

How are mobile browser ads served?

Mobile browser ads are served in a similar way to desktop browser ads, but they are optimized for mobile devices and are often auto-resizable and responsive, so they can adjust to fit different ad formats on mobile devices.

How are in-app ads served?

In-app ads are delivered through a software development kit (SDK) integrated into a mobile app, allowing ads to be displayed within the app.

What creative formats are available for the mobile channel?

Display (interstitial), video, and native display

What are the creative specs for the mobile channel?

For display, we suggest using mobile standard sizes: 320x50, 300x50, 300x250, 728x90, and interstitial sizes: 320x480, 480x320, 768x1024, and 1024x768.

For video, we suggest using the most common aspect ratios: (4:3) typically, 640x480 or 768x576 sizes; portrait/vertical (9:16), and landscape (16:9), typically 640x360, 854x480 or 1024x576, 1280x720 (for 720p) or 1920x1080 (for 1080p) sizes.

What is an Environment?

The digital space where users interact on mobile devices - browser & in-app.

Browser: Where users access websites via browsers like Safari or Chrome on their mobile devices.Ex: Forbes.com, Buzzfeed.com
In-App: Where users engage with content through mobile applications, such as Subway Surfers, Duolingo, HuffPost, or other apps downloaded to their devices.

What are examples of mobile in-app inventory?

Examples of apps: weather and news (e.g. USA Today, WaPo, Flipboard, Weather.com, Weatherbug); tools (e.g. photo editors, alarms, etc.); entertainment (e.g. Spotify, Pandora, iHeart; Buzzfeed); browsers and mail (e.g. yahoo, yahoo mail, opera); food (e.g. tasty); Travel (e.g. TripAdvisor, Flightview).

What brand safety measures are available for mobile campaigns?

All Quantcast supply is pre-evaluated by our MRC-accredited third-party partner, Integral Ad Science, and our in-house proprietary tech teams. All campaigns are immediately opted into our global blocklist, and we do have a recommended default allow list for those more sensitive. You can create and apply additional targeting like DV and IAS for additional brand safety measures.

Can I create an allowlist or blocklist containing apps?

Yes, you can create an allowlist or blocklist containing apps. Lists are created by using app bundles or app IDs. Please check out this article for more information on creating app and domain lists; see Creating App and Domain Lists.

Measurement

What measurement does Quantcast provide for mobile campaigns?

Quantcast provides standard campaign delivery metrics, including impressions, clicks, and video views. Quantcast also provides web measurement. To enable web measurement, customers must connect website data. App measurement is available through mobile measurement partners (MMPs).

Brand Lift Live

Can I run a Brand Lift Live Study for mobile campaigns?

Yes, Brand Lift Live is supported for the mobile channel. However, it requires approval. Please get in touch with the Quantcast team for more information.

Reporting

Can I get reporting for app events in the Quantcast Platform?

Reporting for app events in the Quantcast Platform is not supported. For campaigns with an app promotion objective, the results columns on the campaigns table page will be blank. Log in to your MMP dashboard to view app installs and app reporting.

What reports are available in the Quantcast Platform?
