Sharing DMP Audiences via LiveRamp

LiveRamp Integration

Quantcast has a direct integration with LiveRamp which allows for segments to be transferred to a Quantcast account via the LiveRamp Connect platform. 

The LiveRamp segments can then be activated as part of an ad campaign or visualized in the form of audience insights. To start the process of sending the segments to Quantcast, please follow these steps:

Quantcast p-code

The Quantcast p-code is an advertiser-specific, alphanumeric identifier that is used to house all data associated with the advertiser account. The p-code starts with ‘p-’ and is 15 digits long. It will look something like this: p-T-12E34S56T78

The p-code can be accessed on the Q Pixel screen. Click the three dots in the top right corner and select grab pixel code. 

A modal window will appear on your screen and you can copy the p-code from here.

Note: The Quantcast p-code is case and space-sensitive. Do not make any edits.  

Activate Quantcast Destination Account in LiveRamp Connect

  1. From your LiveRamp connect homepage, scroll down the left navigation bar to Data Out and select Destination Accounts to navigate to the Your Destination Accounts page or New Destination Account to skip directly to adding your account.

  1. On the Destination Accounts page, click the + New Destination Account button.

  1. Search for Quantcast as a Destination and select Activate

  1. Choose Quantcast Onboarding when choosing an integration.

  1. You need to enter information about the specific Quantcast account on the Configure Quantcast Destination Account page.

  • Identifier Types: Cookies

  • End Date: This should be a date in the future. LiveRamp will stop sending data to the destination once the end date is reached. 

  • QC ID: Account p-code The "p-" portion of the p-code should be removed when entered. 

  • Destination Account Name: Choose memorable name for the account

  1. After entering all of the account information, click "Continue".

Distribute Data to the Destination Account

  1. From the Connect homepage, hover over the OUT icon in the left navigation bar and then select “My Destinations” (or click the "Distribute Data" tile on the Connect home page) to navigate to the Your Destination Accounts page.

  1. On the My Destinations page, find the Destination Account created in the step above, and click the "Manage" button that appears when you hover over the tile. 

  1. Choose which segments you would like to distribute to the Quantcast destination.

  • Check the box to the left of the segment names to send, and click "Add to Distribution".

  • This will initiate the transfer of the segments to the Quantcast account. It may take 48 hours for your segment to populate on this screen. If the delay is longer, please reach out to your Quantcast team via email at [email protected].

Confirming Segment Transfer with Quantcast

The segments will begin transferring after they have been mapped to the Quantcast destinations. The transfer process will take approximately 72 hours.

 To validate that the data management platform (DMP) segments have been received on the Quantcast side, you can check two sections of the Quantcast Platform.  

Customer Audiences

From the Audiences screen, all transferred DMP segments will be listed in the Customer Audiences section. 

  1. Click on the Customer Audiences tab.

  2. The Audience Name and Segment ID should appear.

Ad Set Creation

When building a new ad set, all DMP segments will be available for selection when adjusting the lookalike or retargeting configurations. 

The segments can be identified in the platform based on the segment ID from LiveRamp. If you're unsure of a segment’s ID, you can download the Taxonomy file from the Segment Distribution page in LiveRamp Connect. The destination_segment_id column will represent the Segment ID.
