Frequency Asked Questions: Third Party Reporting for Managed Campaigns
What are third-party metrics in reporting?
In addition to Quantcast reported numbers for delivery and performance (internal) reporting, Advertisers are using third-party ad servers for billings, reporting or both. Third-party metrics are the values we receive from these third-party ad servers.
Who has access to third-party metrics?
Customers who’s campaigns are managed by Quantcast and delivered via a third party ad server are eligible for in-platform reporting.
Who uses third-party metrics?
Third Party metrics are used by our customers in order to validate and manage delivery across multiple DSPs. This allows them to centralise delivery, gain unified insights and more.
Why do “budget-delivered” and other derived metrics not live in the third-party metrics section?
Budget delivery is calculated based on the pricing model set by the customer. Once this has been set and the customer has chosen their measurement partner, there is going to be only a single budget delivery value per adset. This could be sourced from our third-party ad server or internally and hence it is not present exclusively on the third-party metrics section.
What's the data freshness of third-party vendors?
The data freshness varies based on each third-party vendor.
What timezone are third-party metrics in?
The third-party metrics are right now on the same account as that set on the Advertiser Account
From when is the third-party data available?
Third-party data is currently available from 22nd Nov, 2022.
Are third-party metrics available in the Campaign Table?
We currently only have third-party metrics on Report Builder. We however do have Budget delivery that is extracted from third-party configured CPM if the adset uses third-party measurement partner.
The CPM/CPA on my adset changed after the third-party reporting release, what happened?
We have retroactively updated these values on adsets that use third-party as their measurement partner so these metrics are now more accurate.
Why isn’t there a 1st-party budget delivery and a 3rd-party budget delivery metric?
Budget delivery is calculated based on the pricing model set by the customer. Once this has been set and the customer has chosen their measurement partner, there is going to be only a single budget delivery value per adset and hence we don’t have two distinct metric for these.
How do I view non-level breakdowns if my adset doesn’t use a third-party measurement partner?
You can add a filter to select only adsets, campaigns or creatives that do not use third-party measurement partners for these breakdowns.
I do not have any active adsets that use third-party measurement partners. Why am I not allowed to use non-level breakdowns on all my active adsets?
Based on the level-breakdown selection, an account may contain an inactive adsets and hence the result may contain third-party measured data and hence it’s not possible to support non-level breakdowns in this case. Please add a filter to select only adsets, campaigns or creatives that do not use third-party measurement partners for these breakdowns.
Alternatively, you can reach out to Campaign Success team (UTSCAMPS) to disable inactive adsets that use third-party measurement, but as a disclaimer, this will make budget delivery on these adsets inaccurate.
