In-App Inventory
App Promotion Objective
In-app inventory refers to the in-app environment within the Mobile channel where ads can be delivered.
In-app inventory serves as additional inventory to the customer’s media mix alongside web, CTV, and mobile browsers.
App Promotion objective helps advertisers drive app actions such as app installs and in-app events (purchases, add-ons, etc.).
App Promotion is only available for mobile campaigns run in the in-app environment.

Campaigns with all objectives—reach, Clicks, Traffic, and Conversions (Web)—can be delivered via in-app inventory.
The app promotion objective is intended to drive app-based outcomes only.
Customers don’t need to own an app to leverage in-app inventory. Any advertiser can target in-app inventory with their campaign.
Customers need an app to run the App Promotion objective.
To enable app-action tracking, customers must integrate Quantcast with their MMP.
For example, In-N-Out Burger, aiming to drive site traffic, can place an ad on the Allrecipes mobile app (available on smartphones and tablets). When the user clicks the ad, they are directed to the relevant landing page on innout.com.
Example 1:
Reddit is aiming to increase its app’s user base
Reddit leverages the App Promotion objective to deliver ads on the Washington Post mobile app.
The user clicks the ad and is directed to the App Store to download Reddit.
Example 2:
Nike aims to drive purchases (an app event) via its mobile app.
Nike runs ads for its new shoes on the MyFitnessPal mobile app using the app promotion objective.
When the user clicks the ad on MyFitnessPal, they are directed to the new shoes page on the Nike app to encourage purchase.
Note: If the user doesn't already have the Nike app installed on their phone, they will be directed to the App Store to install it.
