Utilizing ACR Data for your CTV Strategy

Automatic Content Recognition

Automatic Content Recognition, or ACR, is a technology that gathers viewer data from both traditional broadcasting and streaming services. This enables targeted advertising, helps marketers gain insights into viewer preferences, and allows for more accurate audience segmentation and personalized ads.

Users can now leverage Samba TV segments through Live Ramp and LG Ads, SambaTV, Hisense & Toshiba 1:1 deals to target premium TV segments based on ACR data.  

Availability

  • SambaTV segments are available through the LiveRamp Data Store in the US.

  • LG Ads 1:1 deals are available through Maginite Streaming and in the US.

  • Hisense and Toshiba 1:1 deals are available through Nexxen and in the US. 

Generally, the best practice is to target ad sets at the national level and not combine deals with other audience targeting. Our forecasting suite provides various projections and validations considering your ad set configuration. 

Targeting SambaTV Segments

To target a SambaTV segment, create a new or edit an existing CTV Ad Set, navigate to the Audience section, and click on Retargeting to expand options. You can search SambaTV on the text field or click on the text field to expand options, and then click on “Third Party Segment” to view the available segments. Click on the desired segments to add the audience configuration. 

Bring Your Own Deal

If you have an existing relationship with ACR data providers or supply-side publishers (SSPs), you can bring your deal and set up a custom deal in Quantcast. For information on bringing your deals (BYOD), please see the Inventory article

You can also email [email protected], and Quantcast can set up a deal on your behalf. 

Once the deal is added to your account, you can target it in your ad set by navigating to the Inventory section of the Ad Set setup, selecting Target Custom Deals and Packages, and clicking +Target Deals and Packages. On the modal, locate the desired deals on the table using the search bar on the top left or the pagination on the bottom right-hand corner. Select the check box on the desired deals/s and click ‘Target Deals and Packages to include in your configuration.
